Wat Sala Loi (or floating pavillion temple) is mostly known for its modern architecture that reinvented the codes of traditional temples. The temple won the Siam Architects Society best avant-garde religious building award in 1973. It houses a large white standing Buddha statue. At the rear, there is a plaster statue of Thao Suranari, sitting in prayer position in the middle of a pond in front of the door. There is often animation in this very popular temple in Nakhon Ratchasima.
