Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu is on the outskirts of the town of Mae Hong Son at the top of Kong Mu hill. You can access to it either by road or by a long staircase for the bravest ones. From up there you have the most beautiful view that you can have over Mae Hong Son city. The temple complex built by Phraya Singhanatracha consists of two pagodas built in the Burmese style in the second half of the 19th century. People especially notice its two white chedis. They are visible for miles around. And behind, there is a small way where you access to a third smaller building in front of which stands a large standing Buddha and a statue of a boat and rowers. Back there, the view is less clear.
