Like all temples in Thailand who are called like this, Wat Phra Non houses a reclining Buddha. Hidden in a small building at the back of the complex, this golden Buddha is not impressive by its size (9 meters long) but amazing for its fine decoration including the design of the clothes.
The main wihann built more than two centuries ago, is an example of the typical architecture style of Phrae. Its beautifully gold and red decorated pediment and his roofs are just magnifiscent.
Free admission
The temple is open from 6 am to 5 pm
How to get to Wat Phra Non ?
As I recommend staying in this area of Phrae, or at least the surrounding area, Wat Phra Non, Wat Phong Sunan, Vongburi House, Saturday Night Market and Wat Luang will all be a few minutes walk away.
