My opinion :

If you are looking for accommodation near Warorot Market, see this list of hotels near Warorot Market.

The Warorot Market is a real institution in Chiang Mai. Located in Chinatown, it is the oldest and largest market in the city, there are fresh products (vegetables, fruits ...), clothes, spices, restaurants and also a part dedicated to flowers. Warorot Market is actually composed of two market Kad Luang (the name that many locals give to Warorot market) and Talad Ton Lam Yai. The two markets are separated by a street and installed in a building of 3 floors built more than a century ago.

If it's a busy market for locals, the Warorot Market is also a tourist attraction. Its maze of small alleys, staircases, stationary escalators, odors blends and fragrant scents in the flower market part make it an interesting place.

Guide to visit Warorot Market

Open from 5 am to 11 pm, it changes a little in the evening when all the food stalls settle in the street that separates the two parts of the market.

How to get to Warorot Market ?

Again, depending on the location of your accommodation in Chiang Mai, coming to Warorot market on foot can be easy. Otherwise, the R1, R2 and R3 lines of the Chiang Mai smart buses stop there. And of course, you can reach the market by red car, tuk-tuk, rental bike, taxi...
