Visit Phu Klon Mud Spa (Mae Hong Son)

The Phu Klon Country Club Health Mud Spa is a renowned for its mud naturally loaded with invigorating, some would even say rejuvenating, minerals. It is located about twenty kilometers from Mae Hong Son city. Phu Klon is one of the three natural mud hot springs in the world. The mud used for treatments is naturally loaded with minerals that are good for the skin and blood circulation by its natural hot spring.

There are actually two parts, the normal spa and the VIP spa and you can go for just a face mask or a full body treatment. It is necessary to wait about 30 minutes after mud application for it to dry before rinsing. I had the opportunity to go to the VIP part and I prefer the atmosphere of the normal spa with its small changing rooms and hot mineral water pool under the palm trees.

Count 120 THB for a face mask and 900 THB for the total formula (face + body and access to the mineral pool). If you prefer to just enjoy the pool, the price will be 60 THB per person. There are also ponds for just soaking your feet. These are the prices for the normal spa, for the VIP spa the price list starts at 590 THB.
