Visit Phaeng Waterfall (Koh Phangan)

This waterfall is located in the center of Koh Phangan island. It is the largest and probably the easiest waterfall to access, even by bicycle. Phaeng Waterfall is part of Thansadej National Park and consists in Phaeng Noi Waterfall when you arrive just after fifty meters after the park entrance and Phaeng Yai Waterfall bordered by a path which 200 meters before the top crosses a path at the left that leads to Dom Sila Viewpoint. Like all waterfalls in Thailand, the more advanced in the dry season (November to May) you are, the less water there is. This explains why you don't see a lot of water on our pictures which were taken in the beginning of March. But the pound at the top always has enough water to bath.
The path to Domsila Viewpoint, 200 meters after the intersection with the trail along the cascade is steeper but there is a ramp rope to help you climb it and you will not regret the effort because there you have a great view on a quarter of the island. Especially beautiful if the weather is clear. If you feel like it you can keep going through the forest to the top of Khao Ra, the highest mountain in Koh Phangan.
