Visit Baan Khiri Wong Kot (Udon Thani)

Located almost on the North-West border with Nong Khai province, 134km North-West from Udon Thani, Baan Khiri Wong Kot community has become known in recent years for ractor adventure tours it offers to tourists. They last between 1h30 and 2 hours and pass in the bed of a river at low level, through the rice fields, the rubber plantations and the forests to reach a waterfall where you picnic or eat a meal cooked in bamboo (for this meal, it is mandatory to call them the day before to book). An exotic curiosity and an even more beautiful tour during the rice season from July to the end of October.

If the tractor ride is the highlight activity, the community offers a full 2 ??days / 1 night program (details here). I have not tested it but I think the barrier of the language can be a real brake for an extended stay here...

Just for the tractor ride, we paid 500 THB for 2. If you want the meal cooked in bamboo, it goes up to 800 THB.
If you are only interested in the tractor aventure tour, you can come without prior notice as I did but imperatively before 2 pm. However, I strongly advise you to call before coming - Tel: 086 147 9004 (mobile number) .
The 2-days and 1-night all-inclusive package cost THB 1,500 per person. You can book it via this site or by calling 086 147 9004 (mobile number).
