If the Greenleaf Gueshouse is an address for backpackers with very very basic rooms at very low prices, its Khao Yai tours are among the best, if not the best quality / price ratio you can find! Believe me, I researched it well and personally tested their 2 tours in Khao Yai.
Their tours are done in small groups with good English-speaking guides in a very good atmosphere. Their trek in Khao Sok National Park is a must-do if you want to dive into the jungle and watch wild animals including wild elephants, if you're lucky.
Note that if you book their excursions, Greenleaf can pick you up and send you back to Pak Chong railway station for free.
If the very basic comfort (fan but no air conditioning, no hot water, ultra basic rooms) of their guesthouse will not suit everyone, there is a more comfortable accommodation next to it and Caverna Khaoyai Resort a little further with high standing rooms and a swimming pool.
