The festival presents the Upagupta procession, the sacred garment ceremony, which consists of wrapping the chedi that houses the relics of the Buddha, and 'Wien Thien' the ritual consisting in walking around the chedi 3 times holding a lighted candle. There will also be a show of local products and entertainment throughout the 9 days and nights of the festival in this northeastern Thai town close to the border.
