The Strawberry Festival in Samoeng village, one and a half hour drive from Chiang Mai, takes place every year and lasts 5 days with culinary competitions, a flower parade, a typical Lanna market and, of course, strawberries, games and sports competitions. Visitors are also invited to visit the strawberry plantations around the city known for having the largest strawberry plantations in Thailand.
