Transport to go to Lampang / leave Lampang
To go to Lampang ?
Lampang is accessible by train or bus and has a small airport (with only bangkok Airways flights since April 2023). Buses to Chiang Mai stop at Lampang and leave from Bangkok Mochit Bus Termminal ((online booking available here)). Otherwise, by plane, you can fly to Chiang Mai which offers connections to more cities and then take a bus to Lampang.Direct trains to Lampang

IMPORTANT: from 19th January 2023, 52 trains leave or arrive in Bangkok at brand new Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station, the other ones will still depart and arrive in Hua Lamphong Station (until next step to move all trains to the new Bangkok railway station). Leave Lampang ?
From Lampang you can take the train up to Chiang Mai (and then take a plane or a bus to continue your journey or stay in Chaing Mai) or down to Bangkok. By bus, you can explore the North of Thailand or return to the capital city (online booking available here).
