Built on a hill about ten kilometers from the city of Phrae, it is THE temple to visit when you come here and an important place of pilgrimage for the people of Northern Thailand.

Wat Phra That Cho Hae was built in the late 19th century. Difficult to describe all tyou can see as the temple is large and rich. The most striking elements are the Phra Jao Than Jai Buddha image in the main building, a statue that reminds Chinnarat Buddha in Phitsanulok and which s reputed to impart fertility to women make offerings to it and the 33 meters high golden in Chiang Saen style built around a hair relic of Lord Buddha.
