Ban Laem Station is located in Samut Sakhon province. It is a small local station that continues the Mahachai Line which is cut by the Tha Chin River that you have to cross by ferry to continue your journey between Wongwian Yai Station in Bangkok and Mae Klong Station where the famous market on the railway is located. It takes about an hour from Ban Laem to reach the heart of the Maeklong market, where the stalls are set up directly on the tracks, offering an unforgettable experience when the train crosses.

Here too, train tickets are not purchased in advance but before the train departs at the ticket office in the station or from the ticket inspector on board.

It is about a ten-minute walk from Tha Chalom Pier where the ferries that cross the Tha Chin River from Mahachai.

How to get to Ban Laem Railway Station?

Ban Laem Station is located in Samut Sakhon province, about 40 km southwest of Bangkok. To get there from Bangkok, travelers must first take a train from Wongwian Yai Station to Mahachai Station. Then, walk 5 minutes to the ferry across the Tha Chin River and then walk 6 minutes to Ban Laem Station. Alternatively, you can come to Mahachai by local bus and then take the ferry.
