What is the Rafflesia?
The Rafflesia (in Thai:
boa put ) is a rare flower that can only be found in a few countries in the world, essentially, Indonesia, discomfort, and Thailand, and in those countries only in very specific places like Khao Sok for Thailande. Rafflesia is known to be the largest flower in the world. Its diameter can be up to 90 centimeters, and its weight up to 7 kilos. The flower's name comes from Sir Tomas Stanford Raffles, also known as the founder of Singapore, who discovered it in 1818.

Flowering season of the Rafflesia in Thailand
In Thailand generally,
the flowering season of the Rafflesia flower starts in December and ends in late March, or early April. But it can start later. There is no open flower every day, and the flower lasts only 5 days. It is therefore impossible to ensure in more than days in advance that you will see it. If there is no open Rafflesia, the trek can be cancelled at ast minute at no cost and be replaced by another activity at your convenance.
