The ABC Amazing Bangkok Cyclist weekend / floating market tour we will give you the fullest experience Bangkok has to offer and a unique insight into the lifestyles of the local people living in Bangkok.
Details
Departure from ABC (Amazing Bangkok Cyclist) office near Phrom Phong BTS station at 9 am.
This bike tour will guide you through all layers of society, from skyscrapers to a huge jaw-dropping fresh market. You will cycle under the highway where a small community lives, to arrive at the pier to cross the Chao Praya River on a longtail boat.
Then you will arrive in Bangkok's green heart. A green lush area with many trees and plantations. The city of Bangkok feels so far away while cycling over elevated pathways here and maybe spot a monitor lizard or turtle bathing in the sun.
In the middle of these old plantations, you will arrive at a local floating market only open on weekends where you will taste locals snacks or Thai Tapas.
After this nostalgic market walk, you will get on the saddles again to cycle a bit more through this beautiful area.
Later on, you will stop again, and sit down to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch prepared by the locals living here. After this delicious lunch you will take the long-tail boat to cross the river and experience a completely different view of Bangkok: its high-rise buildings and cycle back to ABC office.
End of the tour at 3 pm.
Note that this tour is only available on weekends as Bang Namphueng Floating market is only open on Saturdays and Sundays.But ABC offers a similar tour without the floating market on weekdays. Check the ABC bike tour without the floating market here !
