Wat Rong Khun will never be the same…
Nine days after the earthquake that hit Thailand Northern province of Chiang Rai, caused many damages and even kill one people, Thai Guru Magazine gives an impression of the damage caused by the earthquake on the most famous monument of the region: the Chiang Rai White Temple.
The heavy earthquake of 5 May 2014, magnitude 6.3 and the numerous aftershocks, caused a lot of damages to the amazing Wat Rong Khun. It will probaly take at least 3 years to repair it. The biggest work will be to redo all the mural paintings which are in a really bad condition…
