The Most Photogenic Temples in Thailand
Obviously, it is very subjective but as you’ve probably noticed I like to take pictures of Thailand and share them. Here are for me the 5 most photogenic temples in Thailand. Others temples do not be jealous, we also like to take pictures of you 😉

Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon in Ayutthaya with its brick stupa, two large Buddhas on each side and the square of Buddhas statues, all different, around the chedi. |

Wat Phra Kaew or Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok. This is the best known and most revered temple in the country. With gilt statues and walkways, it shines with thousands of colors. |

Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai. Perched on a hill, with its golden chedi, statues and buildings and the view over Chiang Mai below, it has everything needed to make you take dozen of pictures. |

Phanom Rung temple in Buriram Province near Nang Rong. This Khmer temple is on the top of an extinct volcano and has a beautiful stone walkway. |

Wat Rong Khun or White Temple, completly white, this temple stands in Chiang Rai province, a few kilometers outside the city. It is the work of a Thai artist with many funny details : interior paintings mixing Buddhist symbols with Matrix, Kung Fu Panda or Star Wars, a forest of hands stretched to the sky symbolizing cupidity… |

Wat Phra Kaew in Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park 70 km from Sukhothai. Its three magnificent stone Buddhas are very good subjects for amazing pictures. One is reclining and the other two are sitting behind him. |

Of course, there are many other interesting temples in Thailand such as those in the central part of the Sukhothai Historical Park, a place not to be missed if you like ancient temples, the Phra That Lampang Luang, or the charming Phimai temple which has a lot in common with Angkor Wat in Cambodia…
