General information about the province of Samut Prakan

Province of region Central Thailand

Samut Prakan is a province located in the Bangkok metropolitan area. Often people still think they are in Bangkok. This is why, on the site, I put the interesting visits that are there in the list of places to visit in Bangkok. The province of Samut Prakan extends to the sea, as far as the Gulf of Thailand. Its coastal part is characterized by a harmonious mix of historical heritage and modern development, including a large observation tower.

Among the places to visit in Samut Prakan, we find Ancient Siam, a large park which brings together sometimes life-size replicas of the best-known monuments in Thailand and some neighboring countries, but also sumptuous original creations. It's very pleasant to visit by bike. Closer to Bangkok, there is also the Erawan Museum. Bang Pu, by the sea, is very popular at sunset for the setting and the seagulls who come to eat the bread handed to them.
