Be careful, there are several temples in Thailand which have the name of Wat Tham Khao Wong. The best known is probably the one in Uthai Thani province but there is also one in Saraburi province. Here, I'm talking about the one in Nakhon Ratchasima province which is 20 kilometers away from the main entrance (North entrance) to <
Khao Yai National Park. It is especially the set of cave galleries arranged to accommodate the meditation of the monks which is the interesting element of this temple. It is therefore important to enter the cave which is located inside the mountain and accessible by a staircase to the right of the main building, being discreet and respectful. Avoid coming to visit it during the meditation sessions unless you want to participate, but then come when it starts. They take place every day from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The main room of the cave hosts a statue of the revered monk Luang Phor Sot adept in Dhammakaya meditation.
