This temple is located 2 kilometers from
Wat Phra That Cho Hae. I recommend you add it to your visit. The construction of the first temple called Wat Phra Tat Chuang Chaeng, on this site, goes back to 788. There are two entrances. Coming from Wat Phra That Cho Hae, you will come to the entrance leading directly to the temple and its pretty porch, but there is another entrance via a Naga stairs at the opposite. In the heart of the buddhist complex is a 10 meters wide and 29 meters high golden chedi, it contains sacred relics,of Buddha's hair. A standing Buddha statue just stands in front of it while the ordination hall (wihaan) is on the side. On the other side, there is a new hall, currently under construction (May 2018), and a kind of "hell garden" that can be found in many
temples in Thailand and an older brick chedi in the back. There is also a reclining Buddha in a pretty little garden with moss and trees.
