Wat Huay Kaew is especially famous and interesting for its Khmer-type chedi planted in the middle of a pond. Built well after the Khmer period, it remains very pretty andnice to visit with a statue of Buddha in green jade and white jade inside. Very photogenic also with a drone (note that you have to declare your drone to be able to fly it in Thailand). The temple itself is said to be only 140 years old but the pagoda in the middle of the water in the style of the Khmer era, it is more recent (I could not find the information of its exact construction date) . This choice of architecture is linked to the way of life of the inhabitants of the Bang Kham canal.
if you can, also pay a short visit to Wat Phanit Thammikaram and its turtle-shaped base 18 kilometers away. Building's doors are often closed but it is its exterior that is quite surprising!
