There are a few resorts on Tha Khao Beach, several are a little high up on the mountain and offer an incredible view over Phang Nga Bay. I stayed at Tha Khao Bay View. The view from the breakfast terrace is just stunning and in the evening, in the garden, you have hornbills feasting in the trees. There are also a few restaurants but Tha Khao Beach remains a lot less lively and provided with resorts and restaurants than Pasai Beach or Klong jark Beach. There is also a long pier and a village next to it with wooden houses and shops including a scooter rental shop. Koh Yao Noi's main climbing center is also there and right next to the pier, there is Koh Yao Noi batik workshop.
Not far from the coast, there is a small island called Koh Nok, accessible by walking at low tide. Don't forget to go see the small Tha Khao waterfall 150 meters from the beach.
