The Lampam Floating market if it is located at the water's edge is much more an on land market than a floating one but it remains a nice place to stroll, do some shopping and eat. It is held on Saturdays and Sundays at Lam Pam, 8 km from Phatthalung Railway Station. You can go there in the continuation of your possible visit of the Phatthalung Museum and Wat Wang but do not expect to find here a traditional Thai floating market as you may have seen in guide books. For that it will be better to go to Samut Songkhram at 1h30 from Bangkok.

How to get to Lampam Floating market ?

Dark blue songthaews can take you from the train station for a dozen of baht. But so not hesitate to show pictures or the name in Thai to the driver so that he understand where you want to go.
