This quite recent temple is interesting and pleasant to visit. Located 4 kilometers from Wat Na Khu Ha, a temple I also warmly recommend you to see if you like temples, mountains and bamboo bridges, Wat Phra That In Kwaen is known for its intimation of Myanmar's famous sacred golden rock. Its small brick paths bordered by trees sometimes carrying a Buddhist maxim lead you to a standing Buddha, a bust of Buddha whose body seems to be buried in the mountain, a chedi and the famous rock of course.

I do not know if I would recommend it so warmly if it was alone but by adding the visit o Wat Na Khu Ha, a little further, I think it's an interesting way out for a 2 to 3 hours tour from Phrae city. There is also not far a waterfall that I did not go went see yet but can complete this little trip.

How to get to Golden Rock Temple (Wat Phra That Din Kwaen) ?

The temple is about twenty kilometers from Phrae. There is no public transport to come. It will be necessary to have your own vehicle or you can try to privatize a songthaew from Phrae even if it is not always esy because few drivers can speak enough English. And as I said, combine with the visit of Wat Na Khu Ha a little further.
