Who did not go\u00a0to visit Kanchanaburi<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and choose\u00a0a nice guesthouse on the river banks or a room on a floating raft to enjoy the landscape\u00a0and nature and did not see this idyllic settings disturbed by music and <\/span>hubbub of disco rafts regularly cruising here\u00a0? <\/span>This will perhaps soon be\u00a0old story…<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There is some ambiance on disco rafts in Kanchanaburi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Thailand<\/strong> Prime Minister, has finally become aware of this problem and decided to launch a major cleaning operation on Kancahanburi’s disco rafts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Prayut Chan-o-cha strongly criticized \u00a0the noisy floating parties on the rivers Kwai Yai and Kwai Noi in Kanchanaburi and asked\u00a0local officials\u00a0to\u00a0investigate to determine if they are violating laws or regulations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The disco traft also operate during the day in Kanchanaburi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Besides being too noisy and frankly boring, hundreds of floating nightclubs are also known to dump waste into the rivers, also complained Prime Minister, according to Thai PBS.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are currently about 200 disco rafts on the 450 rafts circulating in the district. The rest are floating restaurants and hotels.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Any raft found to be breaking laws would be evicted or dismantled.\u00a0<\/p>\n
