Today, we invite you to discover or rediscover Bangkok 30 years ago.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6555\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bangkok-1985-600x384.jpg\" alt=\"Bangkok 1985\" width=\"600\" height=\"384\" data-wp-imgselect=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The video posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCd5NbrAV9vH0sUNNBlUldgQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">old45s<\/a> is entitled<em> &#8220;Bangkok scenes 1985, 1987 &amp; 1996&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0and shows\u00a0as its name indicates scenes shot by the author in the Thai capital city during those years.<\/p>\n<p>The video begins with a sequence within a Thai Airways<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/en\/transportation-thailand\/flight-tickets-thailand.php\">flight to Bangkok<\/a><\/strong> in 1985 where we can\u00a0recognize the hostesses wearing\u00a0traditional dresses. Then we end up in Bangkok\u00a0streets on Sukhumvit Soi 19 and we\u00a0can notice that even then the traffic was quitedense\u00a0on Sukhumvit Road. And what&#8217;s funny is that the <strong><a href=\"\/en\/transportation-thailand\/find-bus-in-bangkok.php\" target=\"_blank\">buses in Bangkok<\/a> have not changed<\/strong> !<\/p>\n<p>The the video takes us to\u00a0Pratunam, offers an\u00a0aerial view of Bangkok from the top floor of the Dusit Thani, a ride to Patong, a dinner at\u00a0Savoey Restaurant (not the one we recently spoke about but another one on the riverside too), and views of the Chao Phraya&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/57ObBOkZdsw\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In short, this video offers a very interesting dive in <strong>Bangkok during\u00a0the 80s<\/strong>. Even Soi CowBoy is\u00a0filmed (in 1987). In 1996, we see the beginning of the skytrain&#8217;s construction.<\/p>\n<p>During the\u00a028 minutes of the film we can see <strong>how Bangkok has changed<\/strong> (apart from the\u00a0bus and tuk-tuks).
