href=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/eng\/see-visit-thailand\/golden-mountain-bangkok-9\">Golden Mount temple<\/a> welcomes thousands of people who\u00a0came to offer alms to the 99 monks and listen to ThaiPBS)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>The Makha Bucha celebration in Thailand started\u00a0on\u00a0March 2, the first day of the Buddhism Promotion Week.\u00a0Bangkok Metropolitan Administration also held a big alms giving ceremony at Sanam Luang in front of <a href=\"\/eng\/see-visit-thailand\/wat-phra-kaew-bangkok-4\">Wat Phra Kaew temple<\/a>.\u00a0Thousands of Buddhists lined up to offer
