Every year in\u00a0December, Ayutthaya celebrates its status of UNESCO World Heritage Site with\u00a0a big festival in\u00a0partnership with\u00a0the Red Cross : Ayutthaya World Heritage and Red Cross Fair.<\/p>\n

This event takes place over a week and celebrates the history and prestige of Ayutthaya. On the program, you can find: sound and light show reproducing the history of Ayutthaya and its glorious past, live concerts, beauty pageants, cultural activities, sale of local and OTOP products, stalls with Thai food and a religious ceremony called Thaksinanupathan, among other things ….<\/p>\n

In short, this festival in\u00a0Thailand<\/a> brings animation in the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam.<\/p>\n

This year, the Ayutthaya World Heritage and Red Cross Fair will be held from 13 to 19 December 2014.<\/p>\n

Note that you have the choice between taking a room in Ayutthaya or come from Bangkok\u00a0by bus or train to spend the day in Ayutthaya. Personally, I recommend you to sleep in Ayutthaya<\/a>, it’s cheaper and you can enjoy the evening entertainment.<\/p>\n
