The <strong>Lopburi Monkey Festival<\/strong>, held on the last Sunday of the month is one of the most important one after Loy Krathong and Surin Elephant Festival. This is a good opportunity to visit Lopburi\u00a0known as the monkeys city .<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/villes\/lopburi\/lopburi-monkey.jpg\" alt=\"Lopburi Monkey Buffet Festival\" width=\"560\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Foreigners oftent reduce\u00a0<a href=\"\/eng\/cities\/lopburi.php\">Lopburi<\/a> to its monkeys but Lopburi has more to offer. This is a nice little provincial town and the way the inhabitants tolerate the\u00a0primates, their patience and respect is one of the curiosities of Thailand that reveals much of the thai mentality.<\/p>\n<p>The monkeys almost own\u00a0of the city, at least\u00a0a part of the city. Each year a huge buffet is organized at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/eng\/see-visit-thailand\/phra-prang-sam-yot-lopburi-43\" hreflang=\"fr\">Phra Prang Sam Yod<\/a>. It\u00a0started twenty years ago and is closely linked to tourism.
