But thi year, Bangkok is not even in the Top 10.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/wat-phra-kaew-keo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Wat Phra Kaew Bangkok\" alt=\"Wat Phra Keo Bangkok\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/wat-phra-kaew-keo-560x374.jpg\" width=\"560\" height=\"374\" data-wp-imgselect=\"1\" data-mce-selected=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The months of political instability that ended in a coup even if it is a Thai fashion way coup, are probably the main explanation why\u00a0Bangkok\u00a0lost its first \u00a0place. Chiang Mai, 10th last year, is no longer in the Top 10 neither. Bangkok is not even the first city in Asia outpaced by Kyoto and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cambodee.com\/eng\/cities\/siem-reap\" target=\"_blank\">Siem Reap<\/a>, gateway to Angkor temples in Cambodia.<\/p>\n<p>The magazine ranking is based on votes allocated to each city by readers of the magazine based on criteria such as culture, arts, food and the value for money.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/top-10-destinations-touristiques.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Best tourist destinations of the world \" alt=\"Best tourist destinations of the world \" src=\"http:\/\/www.thailandee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/top-10-destinations-touristiques.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"418\" data-wp-imgselect=\"1\" data-mce-selected=\"1\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">10 best tourist destinations in the world in 2014<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It is not that the city has lost its tourist attraction, it is more likely that the context of the country in recent months, did not give a such attractive image as it did in the past.
