The award was conferred at the 6th Asia Golf Industry Show organised at the beginning of the month.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Golf in Tha\u00efland\" alt=\"Golf Tha\u00efland\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tatnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Thailand-Best-Golf-Dest_01-500x300.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Director TAT New Delhi Office, Ms. Runjuan Tongrut received the award against the backdrop of a movie clip of Thailand\u2019s Golf Ambassador in India, Gaganjeet Bhullar teeing off at one of the many spectacular golf courses in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the award, Ms. Runjuan said, <em>\u201cThis award is especially meaningful for us because the CII represents India\u2019s leading industrialists and business leaders. We are all aware that much business is done on the golf course, and I am overjoyed that India\u2019s eminent businessmen and women find Thai golf courses worthy of such a prestigious award.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Thailand is one of the world\u2019s leading golfing destinations, with over 250 world-class golf courses, many of which are designed by internationally famous architects. Golfers can enjoy their golf and have a holiday at the same time. Challenging and exciting courses, staffed by knowledgeable caddies are the reasons for the country being the popular choice of golf enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors can also watch a number of tournaments which are held annually, with many of the world\u2019s leading players competing. A total of 16 leading golf tour operators who are also members of IGTA played three rounds of golf at the famous Blue Canyon, Laguna-Banyan Tree and Red Mountain courses.  In April 2013, Thailand also hosted the National Finals of TAKE Solutions World Corporate Challenge (TSWCGC) 2013 at Lam Luk Ka Country Club in Bangkok.
