Visit Wat Chang Rop (Kamphaeng Phet)

g_translate Thai name : วัดช้างรอบ
reviews My opinion: starstarstarstar
Kamphaeng Phet
Wat Chang Rawp Kamphaeng Phet
Wat Chang Rop
Wat Chang Rawp temple
This temple is especially interesting for its main chedi and the 68 elephants statues supporting it.Most of them are severly damaged but. Sometimes you can also see between the elephants small parts of a vegetal fresco. In front of the chedi stand the remains of another building, probably the wihaan.
The temple is less well preserved than Wat Chang Lom in Si Satchanalai which also have a chdi with elephants statues. But Wat Chang Rawp remains one of the temples to see in the Ariniyk Area of Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park.
