How to get to Mae Klong Railway Market ?

The easiest way to get to Mae Klong Railway Market from Bangkok is to take a bus or van to Samut Songkhram from Bangkok Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai). Samut Songkram bus station is a 5-minutes walk from the part of the railway where the famous market is located. You can also come here by train from Wongwian Yai station in Bangkok. From there, take the train to Mahachai (1 hour - 10 THB) then walk 5 minutes to the pier to cross the river (3 THB) then walk 5 minutes to Ban Laem station to take the train to Mae Klong (1 hour - 10 THB). You will then be on the train that passes in the middle of the market. Look timetables carefully because there are only 4 trains to Mae Klong per day.
Trains are supposed to arrive at Mae Klong at 8.30 - 11.10 - 14.30 and 17.40 and there are also trains leaving Mae Klong train station at the beginning of the market at 6.20 - 9.00 -11.30 and 15.30.
Note that the trains are not always on time in Thailand, if you plan to come here to see the train arrival in the market, plan to stay at least one hour after the arrival time.
